In class today, we reveiwed the editing part of the writing process. We did two exercises which required us to edit the writings. In these exercises, we had the chance to use the COPS and CLUESS writing tools to make changes to the sentences. It was not easy, but once you understand what you are reading, it will be much easier to rearrange, ad, or delete words, phrases or even sentences. This stage really helps make a writing much more understandable and clear to readers.
I think that the exercises really helped us out. It made me really think about what we discussed.
ReplyDeleteI like using CLUESS more than COPS... and i agree that it makes things clearer and easier to understand...
ReplyDeleteIt does become challenging when editing other write-ups than your own. For me, to edit other write-ups, I would have to make sure that I have some understanding of the persons thought so as to not steer away from their actual writing piece.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the exercises weren't that easy. I had a hard time comprehending it as well, but later understood it.
ReplyDeleteI agree. the exercises were very helpful and we got to edit on the writings. It is a little hard to understand but we need to read it more often.
ReplyDeleteI also think that it isn't so easy to edit papers and this stage does make your writing more understandable and clear.
ReplyDeleteI also had a problem with the exercise. Mainly because I couldn't attend class.
