Organizing: Listing & Clustering
Today's lesson addressed organizing through listing and clustering. Two main outline forms is sentence outline and topic outline. Class took part in an exercise of completing a topic outline. We were taught the different forms of dividing and organizing ideas using narration; exemplification; analysis by division; process analysis; and causes and effects. This exercise helps to form a sentence outline or essay as the ideas are made known to the writer.
